Not for me August 16, 2010 David Archibald (Dallas, TX, US)
The shoes seem to fit about 1/2 size larger than other similar athletic shoes. I was not impressed with the results. Wore the shoes for about 10 days at the recommended breakin time each day. All the results were less than positive. My back and neck were sore all the time, and I did not feel any aerobic differences. Had I given the shoes a longer test perior, I don't know if I would still be walking. Not for me.Skechers Men's Shape Ups Lace-Up
My Aching Back! August 5, 2010 go back (West Linn, OR United States) I bought a pair of Skechers Men's shape-ups, liked the looks and the idea of shaping up while wearing a comfortable shoe. I marveled at the feel and comfort of these shoes, and began to wear them more often than any other shoes.
After a couple of weeks I began to have low back pain, didn't give it much thought, and continued to wear the Skechers daily. Over the next few weeks the back pain gradually increased and became something I initially thought was due to getting older, my diet or punishment for any indiscretions committed over the years.
A couple of weeks ago I had something of a revelation. My back pain was chronic and I was all set to call my doctor and see in anything could be done. My hesitancy in doing this was tempered by a previous solution, my doctor recommended that I attend a class for back pain sufferer's. I went to the class and learned several exercises, did them for awhile and the low back pain never diminished. One morning the Ah Ha syndrome kicked in and I asked myself could the pain be due to the shoes I wore an favored? Only one way to tell, take of the shoes and see what happens.
Almost immediately I noticed a significant difference in the low back pain, it was much, much better. Over a few days the low back pain disappeared completely. I haven't wore the shoes since then and do not plan to wear them again.
Great shoes, good looking and all that, but not for me.
fugly but comfortable August 2, 2010 Jono VK (Somerville, MA) extremely comfortable walking shoes! And my glutes have never been firmer. the only downside is that the shoes are so very ugly. I would buy more if they looked better.

Difficult to walk on. June 30, 2010 Troy Blivnik 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These shoes are very well made and stylish but are at first very difficult to walk on. I have a very hard time standing still with them on as my feet keep rolling back on the heel that's not there. I lose my balance and tend to fall off of them. Walking on them is not natural at all and takes quite some practice; I have not mastered the technique and that's frustrating.
I am a bit older, probably, than most who would buy these shoes so it might be easier to get used to them for younger folks: I don't have the patience to relearn something as natural as walking.
The shoes are quite pricey and had I known how difficult it would be to wear them I would not have bought them.
